What is the Technique Score?

A single 0–100 headline score for a session — how closely the movement matches good form for that activity. It combines the individual metrics into one number you can read at a glance.

What is RSI (Reactive Strength Index)?

RSI measures reactive, “springy” strength — how quickly an athlete produces force in a fast stretch–shorten action like a jump. It’s derived from jump height relative to ground-contact time: bouncing higher with less time on the ground means a higher RSI. For countermovement jumps a modified version (mRSI) uses time-to-take-off instead. Higher generally means more explosive, elastic movement.

What is jump height?

How high the athlete’s centre of mass rises in a jump, estimated from the airborne (flight) phase. It’s the core output of the jump tests.

What is contact time (ground-contact time)?

How long the foot or feet stay on the ground during a jump or stride. Shorter contact times paired with good height indicate more reactive, springy mechanics.

What is flight time?

How long the athlete is airborne during a jump — used together with contact time to derive jump height and reactive strength.

What is cadence?

Step rate — how many steps per minute during running or walking. It’s a key gait metric; a very low or very high cadence for a given speed can flag inefficiency.

What is stride length?

The distance covered in one stride during running or walking. Read it alongside cadence to understand how an athlete produces speed.

What is symmetry (left / right balance)?

How evenly the left and right sides perform — for example landing balance in a jump or step mechanics in a gait. Large left/right differences can point to a compensation or an old injury. Side-to-side balance is measured most reliably from a front-facing camera.

What are peak power and mean power?

Power is how fast work is done. Peak power is the highest instantaneous output during the movement; mean power is the average over a phase (for example the push-off). Together they describe how explosively an athlete moves.
