When a session fails
Why is my session marked “Failed”?
A session fails when AiKYNETIX can’t reliably track the athlete’s body through enough of the video to produce trustworthy numbers — the athlete needs to stay clearly visible and trackable through most of the clip. The most common cause is filming: the body is partly out of frame or too far away, the athlete is briefly hidden (occluded), the lighting is poor, the camera is shaky, there’s more than one person in the shot, or the angle doesn’t match the activity.
Was I charged for a failed session?
No. When a session fails, the session is refunded back to your quota automatically — you don’t lose it. You can re-shoot and try again at no extra cost.
How do I fix a failed session?
Re-film with these in mind, then upload again:
- Keep the entire body in frame for the whole movement.
- Use steady, level camera placement (tripod or propped phone).
- Film in bright, even lighting, with the athlete clearly separated from the background.
- Make sure only the athlete is in the shot.
- Use the camera view the Upload screen recommends for that activity.
My session is stuck “Processing” — what should I do?
Analysis usually finishes in a short while. If a session sits in Processing far longer than usual, refresh the Sessions list; if it still hasn’t completed, contact support and include the session so the team can look into it.
